DWP No. 061

For WEEK ONE, let’s warm up with a few guided, Genre Prompts. When responding / writing with the day’s prompt in mind, also attempt to embody the SPECIFIED GENRE at the bottom corner of each day’s prompt.

Happy Writing!

  1. From Under

    clouds atop the sky
    over finite possibilities
    small dreams, small hopes
to imagine that which cannot be seen
    in concrete grays
    throughout a meadow long
alone below the mist and haze
of all the worlds that fly above
    on winds creative
    lowly dreams disperse
an utter not of ignorance blind

  2. Cloud cover is this visceral feeling my brain experiences when prompted to” do it the way WE do it,” faking out my true circuitry with disco lights spinning synapses and a dizzy interpretation resulting in confusion. what if I screw it up? The heart lures me like a stranger with candy, away from the brain, and I know better

  3. Tall buildings. Empty streets.
Peering down over the city of my mind, a whiff of exodus lingers on the breeze.
Perhaps they’ve all gone somewhere else, somewhere less turbulent.
At least, that’s my best guess.
    The city is obscure.
The cloud cover is too thick.
